The faces in the butterfly are a representation of our Ancestors who like the Monarch butterfly moved freely throughout Turtle Island.

Inspired by the beautiful photoshoot “Immigration is Sacred” by @bravocado._ shown in the last slide.

Indigenous peoples have moved freely through Turtle Island since time immemorial. We had extensive trade routes. I have family ties in what is now called Alaska. We did not cross the borders, the borders crossed us.
